Grandfather Wachuma Retreat | A 3-Day Journey of the Heart

Sept 11th-13th 2026

Price: $1,200

Location: The Jocko River Valley, exact location shared upon registration.

Join us for an intimate three-day, two-night immersion into the heart of Wachuma — a sacred cactus medicine known for its gentle yet profound ability to open the heart, deepen connection, and bring clarity to one’s path.

This retreat is an invitation to step away from the noise of daily life and into a slower, more intentional rhythm. Surrounded by nature and held in a supportive container, you will be guided through a ceremonial journey that honors both the medicine and the unique unfolding of your own inner landscape.

What is Wachuma?

Wachuma, also known as San Pedro, is a sacred cactus that has been used for thousands of years by Indigenous peoples of the Andes in ceremonial and healing contexts. Traditionally stewarded by Andean lineages, Wachuma is often referred to as a “heart-opening” medicine — one that supports deep insight, emotional release, connection to nature, and a remembrance of one’s place within the greater web of life.

Its effects are typically gentle and expansive, offering a grounded yet profound experience that can illuminate patterns, restore balance, and reconnect us to a sense of meaning and belonging.

The Retreat Experience

This retreat is intentionally designed with spaciousness and care, allowing time for preparation, ceremony, and integration.

Day 1 — Arrival & Opening

We will gather in the afternoon to set up your sleeping arrangements, ( tent, van, etc ) and begin weaving the group field. After a delicious home cooked meal, our opening circle will include introductions, and a cacao ceremony where we can share intentions, reflect and move our bodies to gently open the heart and prepare the body for the journey ahead.

Day 2 — Wachuma Ceremony

The second day is devoted to our full-day Wachuma journey. Held in a sacred and supported container, this ceremony unfolds in connection with the natural landscape, allowing the medicine to guide each participant in their own unique way. Facilitators will be present throughout to offer grounding, support, and gentle guidance as needed.

Day 3 — Integration & Closing

On our final morning, after breakfast, we will gather for an integration circle — a space to reflect, share, and begin anchoring the insights and experiences from the journey into your daily life. We will close our time together with intention and care before departure.
